The world statistics site "StatCounter" revealed the latest figures showing the prevalence of Windows 10 on different computers around the world.

The new statistics show that Windows 10 is currently running on 42.78% of the world wide, while Windows 7 works on 41.86% of the operating systems of Microsoft systems around the world.

The statistics also show a steady decline in Windows 8.1 to 8.72% and Windows 8 to 2.44%, while Windows XP works on 3.36% of the devices as the statistics showed the death of Windows Vista, which is working at 0.74% around the world.

Microsoft announced in November last year that Windows 10 now has 600 million active computers around the world.
