Mozilla has launched a new version of the Firefox browser named "Firefox Quantum" (or Firefox 57), featuring a new design that provides developers with a quantum leap in the speed of web browsing thanks to the revamped browser in general.
The work on the Quantum project took a full year, hundreds of employees, millions of lines of code and millions more, and the result was faster and lighter than any other browser, the company said.
Quantum is twice as fast as the 52nd version it launched six months ago, and is about 30% lighter than Google Chrome. But Quantum does not only depend on its speed to recover its lost users for faster browsers like Chrome, there is a new, improved, high resolution, high-resolution user interface and a series of uses.
The new design of the browser is shown in the interface with elegant menu bars, redesigned buttons and icons again. Mozilla also integrated the Bukit service into the browser, which allows the user to store web pages for later reading.

The new version 57 will only be compatible with the new Web Extension interface, and if developers do not modify their additional software, it will not work with the new browser.
The new version is available for Linux, Mac and Windows users. Although Quantum is a major development for Firefox, but users are switching to it, the usage test for web browsers has been stable for some time, with Firefox serving 13.1 percent as of October and Chrome 59.8 percent.
In other words, browser habits are relatively well established. It may take a radical change in user perception to change those numbers dramatically, but the big change in Firefox may help Mozilla at least keep its users who might have migrated to other alternatives.
